Trevor Erikson, R.TCMP, R. Ac first became an Acupuncturist through the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Vancouver , B.C. He then went on to Oshio College of Acupuncture and Herbology in Victoria , where he graduated with a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine diploma. Trevor then went to China to do practical training in the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Chengsha, Hunan province.
Trevor has focused his extensive post graduate training on reproductive health and dermatology. He has trained with some of the worlds top practitioners in these fields including Dr. Robert Flaws, Jane Lyttleton. and finished Mazin Al Khafaji's intensive Dermatology diploma program in London , England, at the top of his class
Trevor currently works out of the Acubalance Wellness Centre [1], focusing on male and female reproductive health and a wide variety of skin disorders.
Trevor has been involved with the healing arts for over fifteen years. He first studied western herbology with Dr. Terri Willard at Wild Rose Herbal College in 1991. He has trained in peer counseling and whole foods nutrition, and is also learning to read and write medical chinese with the intention to translate some of the thousands of medical journals published in China every year.
Before coming to Acubalance, Trevor practiced Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Pender Island Health Centre. He now lives in Vancouver with his wife Gillian, a midwifery student at the University of British Columbia , and his daughter Shakti.
